Building a

Future-Focused Banff

Banff is a complex place.

Housing, affordability, tourism, and climate change, don’t come with easy solutions. That’s why I believe in pursuing goals, not just reacting to problems.

When skiing we look for the gaps, not at the trees, because we move toward what we focus on, and if we want Banff to stay livable, affordable, and sustainable, then our focus has to be on the future we want to build together.

MY VISION

Banff can stay an incredible place to live,
but only if we choose to look ahead.

My vision is a community that:

  • Protects nature as its first priority.

  • Ensures residents can afford to stay and thrive.

  • Balances tourism with livability.

  • Builds community through diversity, creativity, and care.

Tomorrow is not yesterday.

We can’t go back, but we can build a future that carries forward what we love most about Banff.

MY PLATFORM

  • A Future-Focused Banff

DELIVER ON THE BANFF COMMUNITY PLAN
Stop reacting to crises and start delivering on the long-term vision we’ve already agreed on.

    SMART GOVERNANCE
With 20+ years of governance experience, I know how to listen, synthesize, and act for the good of the whole community.

    CREATIVE SOLUTIONS
Our limits on growth, on space, on resources can inspire innovation. Scarcity should spark creativity, not despair.

  • A Livable, Affordable Community

HOUSING FOR EVERY STAGE OF LIFE
Seniors, families, workers, and singles all need a place to call home in Banff.

    MORE THAN JUST SUPPLY
Affordability means wages, fairness, and reducing pressure on limited housing stock.

    AN ECONOMY THAT INOVATES
Encourage new business models, remote work where possible, and shared housing approaches that reduce the squeeze on local homes.

  • Protecting Nature & Balancing Tourism

    NATURE COMES FIRST
The park is why we’re here. Protecting it must guide every decision.

    BALANCED TOURISM
Tourism drives our economy, and, it must not overwhelm residents or degrade our environment.

    GLOBAL LEADERSHIP
Banff can set an example for how communities thrive within limits, showing the world that conservation, community & prosparity can succeed together.

  • Fiscal Responsibility & Taxes

    FAIRNESS
Recognize that taxes fund the services we all rely on, while keeping costs balanced between businesses and residents.

    HARD CHOICES
I’m ready to make the tough decisions that ensure Banff remains sustainable in both services and finances.

  • Transportation & Services

    OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE
Transit, biking, walking, and driving. Banff needs a transportation system that works for all.

    REVIEW SERVICES WITH PURPOSE
Let’s ensure the services we fund are still the ones our community needs most.

  • Community & Belonging

    DIVERSITY MATTERS
A thriving community is one where people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds feel at home.

    LISTEN FIRST
Council must hear all voices and create structures that allow everyone to thrive.

    SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
Building community takes all of us, even when it comes with personal sacrifice.
